RISDP 2005-2020 The Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (RISDP) spells out the strategy for the region to cooperate.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE RISDPDesigned to provide strategic direction with respect to SADC programmes, projects and activities The RISDP aligns the strategic objectives and priorities with the policies and strategies to be pursued towards achieving those goals.

Regional STI Strategic FrameworkThe STI Strategic Framework envisions a region where science, technology and innovation drive a sustainable social and economic development, alleviate poverty and disease, and underpin the creation of employment opportunities and wealth. Its mission aims to promote regional cooperation in the development, mastery, transfer of science, technology and innovation by securing and allocating appropriate resources, and strengthening national innovation systems.
